Whereas most allegedly “hip” info-tech firms are inherently inefficient insomuch as they base themselves in some stupid California suburb and force all their employees to move to said suburb so that they can drive their late-model Saturns to the office every day like this is the 18th century or something (an 18th century that exists eternally parallel to our universe and in which people drive Saturns, that is), we do not engage in this sort of behavior; at Riight, principles and employees alike are scattered across the globe, often interacting via phone, e-mail, and video link. At the time of launch, our CEO was hanging out at Lake Atitlan in Guatemala in preparation for some sort of very suspicious journey to Argentina and Chile in the fall, our marketing guy was headed off to Israel and then to Africa to support God knows what armed insurgency against God knows which unstable regime. Also, our chief programmer was in Chicago, which is actually pretty reasonable. Ditto with our designer, who lives in Los Angeles, which is a fine place for a designer to live. And the guy who's writing all of this is doing so from an underground anarcho-vegan commune in Austin.
